Museum of Danish Public Reports

Here you are able to see various historical documents dating back to the days of Danish colony rule.

Fort Frederik

Dates back to the 1700's and is the location where, in 1848,  Governor Peter Von Scholten read the proclamation abolishing slavery in the Danish West Indies.  Ft Frederik has a museum and art gallery and is open weekends from 8:30 am to 4 p.m. Admission is free, but a $1 donation adults is welcome.

Cruzan Rum Distillery

Take a tour of the Cruzan Rum Factory at Estate Diamond, which has been producing rum in St Croix for more than 300 years. Attration Type:  Factory Tour with Free Samples of Cruzan Rum

Estate Whim Plantation Museum

A restored example of life on a sugar plantation in the 1800s.  This site features a great house filled with antique furniture, three-foot-thick walls made of stone, coral and molasses, plus the original sugar processing plant and windmill. Buck Island Reef National Monument

Located 1.5 miles off the northeast coast of St. Croix, this 880-acre national monument includes 176 acres of land surrounded by 704 acres of underwater and coral reef systems. This paradise for snorkelers, and the deep grottos and labyrinths are perfect for snorkelers and scuba divers to explore.
